Sweater Weather

As we enter into November and the temperature drops, it’s time to bring your sweaters back out of retirement!  Available in many styles and materials, they can easily be layered over shirts or tossed over your shoulders as an accent piece. They’re a cozy staple in any wardrobe, making them ideal for relaxing at home or outings with friends. Slipping into a soft sweater always feels inviting and comforting. Here’s a collection of my personal favorites and 10 different outfits to help you transition into the colder months!

This sweater is a great transitional piece for the holidays. No matter what climate you are celebrating in, the bow on the neck brings festivity to the season while still being neutral enough to wear everyday. I’ve paired it with a matching taupe skirt and black bow flats for a more dressed up feel, but dress it down with a pair of black jeans for a chic look to wear both day and night.

Heading to the snow in the upcoming months? I love planning outfits that are on theme with the vacation but don’t break the bank so this H&M sweater falls right into that category. The geometric pattern with “Les Alpes” printed all around is perfect for you to pack on your next ski trip and wear both to lounge in and to dress up for dinner.

Speaking of lounge wear, I love finding a sweater that is comfy but  allows me to still feel presentable around family and friends. To me, I can imagine wearing this Hill House cardigan on a cold winter night sitting by the fire – so it's a must add to the cart this season for me!

This one is for my brides –  do you have a bachelorette party or a honeymoon coming up during the cooler weather? I love this combo here, mixing all the pearls and sequins possible for the bride to be. It’s chic, fun, and will guarantee to make a statement in any room you walk into!

Any sort of 2 in 1 outfit deal is always a yes for me. This two part dress combo with a detached sweater is effortlessly stunning. It also comes in a light champagne which would be beautiful for the holidays – pair it with closed toed heels for a fancier occasion or dress it down further with sneakers and a tote – the options are endless with this one!

Of course I had to include a good chocolate brown sweater in the mix. This Tularosa sweater is perfect for Thanksgiving. If it were me, I would pair it with these Veronica Beard cream corduroy wide leg pants, and accessorize with chocolate brown ballet flats and a bag.

If I were to show a Thanksgiving sweater, it’s only fair for me to include a stunning Christmas one as well. This Ronny Kobo sweater may be an early present I treat myself to. I love the bold red paired with the contrasting black and white details – pair it with this elevated zara skirt, red heels, black bag, and you’re getting all the compliments this upcoming holiday!

I’d have no blues wearing this outfit! It’s casual enough for everyday wear while still being fun and put together to take into the night. I’m all for mixing different shades / hues of blue – you can pair this sweater with multiple denim washes and don’t have to worry too much about if it's the perfect match!

I’ll admit, this sweater set is a splurge purchase, but when you look at it for yourself, you’ll understand why. The intricate perforated pattern, scalloped edges, and rich color make it perfect for the holiday season. If you feel like only splurging on one item, you can easily pair the top with a staple pair of jeans or the skirt with a white button down or sweater. These are definitely pieces that will remain in your wardrobe for a long time!

Green sweaters can be a hit or miss for me, but I love the intricate details of this Farm Rio one. I chose to highlight the camel brown accents in the sweater throughout the rest of the outfit to create a cohesive yet balanced look. If you are to pull the green color anywhere else in the outfit, I would do so in the accessories like these earrings to avoid creating a distracting look.
