Styling The Perfect Coffee Table
Coffee tables are one of my favorite pieces of furniture to style. Often the centerpiece of the room, they offer a chance to showcase your unique creative style by filling your table with personality, making it distinctly you. Layering for dimension, I love to add color + texture with varying heights and shapes. The best part… you can always change it up with your current obsessions!

TABLES
The perfect place to start is with a fabulous table. Below are tables in different styles, shapes, and sizes for every budget. The shape of your table determines how it should be styled: for square tables, I like to divide into 2 or 4 sections. Rectangle tables, into 3 sections or one single accent in the center. With round and oval tables, the lack of corners leaves less space for styling, so I prefer to arrange in groupings of 3 or create one bold statement in the center.
BOOKS
More often than not, I begin arranging a coffee table around books. Two stacked books are great, maybe three, but I wouldn't go higher than that. Let the stack be a pedestal to elevate other special decor pieces, such as bowls, vases, or sculptural objects. Experimenting with different heights will create depth, add interest, and draw the eye around the space.
DECOR
What's more fun than eye-catching decor!? When using a tray or books as my base, like to switch it up with round or irregular shaped objects on top. Candlesticks, a decorative bowl, boxes and sculptural objects are my go-to items. A common theme with all of my tables is flowers: if you prefer less clutter, don't be afraid to keep it simple and let your flowers have a moment. Finish it off with a glam candle to set the mood and create an inviting ambiance. When it comes to color, you don’t always have to play within the rules, but you do need to play into the theme of the room.
